Maintain Database
Update Ship Records / Update Grade Codes / Update Standard Distribution / Update Exchange Rates / Update Price Sets / Update Service Rates
As well as being necessary to support the operation of OAS, the discipline of standard terminology reduces communication problems between different parts of the organisation. This is particularly important for grade codes.
Another benefit of OAS is as a usable repository of information on shipping - the vessel database. Very often shipping information is stored but is not available to the people who have to make decisions about shipping in their daily business - the Schedulers, the Jetty Operator for example. Easy import facilities make it possible to synchronise the OAS vessel data with an external vessel register
Reference data is required to support Oil Accounting. The system provides a set of screens to allow authorised users to view and update this data.
