Prepare for Shipment
Prepare Pumping Advice / Perform Customs & Excise Formalities / Review Ship Information / Arrange Document Distribution / Specify Additional Services
OAS helps the refinery prepare for the arrival of the ship.
Facilities allow the Scheduler to communicate the Pumping (or “Loading”) Advice to the Jetty Operators. The Scheduler can enter tanks or blend against the nominations, allowing the Jetty Operator to complete the documentation by entering start and end dates against each movement. A single copy of the nomination ensures all relevant information is held as one unit. OAS is an excellent repository for the data required for jetty scheduling.
Customs & Excise formalities vary considerably from country to country. OAS holds the data required and has a number of mechanisms to help calculate the duty payable and record any permits required.
The Jetty Operator can review the expected ship arrivals and check the vessel database for information about mooring; vessel dimensions (length, draft) and any comments from previous visits. Agent information about the required Port Services can be viewed directly to allow Jetty Operators to prepare for the arrival and minimise unnecessary delays. Port services can be calculated based on tables, on a flat fee or according to ship or cargo size.
OAS includes extensive facilities for configuring document distribution lists based around standard user-defined templates. These templates include electronic addresses to allow documents to be sent via electronic mail or fax.
